Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in Connecticut…Again!

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is a show featured on ABC where families who have faced or are facing some kind of hardship receive a brand new custom built home.  The great thing about this show is the number of community volunteers that come out to aid in the home building process.  The Hill family from Suffield can expect to have nearly 1,000 volunteers working on their new home.  Along with the volunteers, the contractors design and build this new home for FREE!! 

In my opinion this show and all of the people that take part in it are a great example of the human kindness that does still exist in people.  Take for example, Carol Girard, the mother of a Voluntown family who also received a new home courtesy of this show last year, who is paying it forward and volunteering with the Hill home.  It is great to finally see a show that puts the good human qualities on display, instead of all the shows that portray the bad qualities that humans can have.
