BLOODY MARY BURGER
Adjust the ingredient amounts to suit your personal taste, just as you would with a Bloody Mary.
The ingredient amounts listed below serves four.
- 1 pound premium ground chuck
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 2 to 3 teaspoons Tabasco sauce
- 4 inner celery stalks with leafy tops (the really tender ones from the celery heart)
- 4 to 6 shakes Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon horseradish
- 4 Hamburger buns
- 1 shallot, minced
OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:
- Caper Berries
- Cocktail Onions
- Green Onions
- Old Bay Seasoning
- Smoked Clams (for a Bloody Caeser Burger)
*In a large bowl, gently combine ground chuck, Tabasco sauce, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, egg, horse radish, shallot and celery salt. Divide into four sections, form into patties and reserve.
*Finely dice celery stalks and place in a small bowl. Add lemon juice and oil. Toss and reserve.
*Grill burger patties to desired degree of "doneness". Toast buns as desired. Assemble durgers, topping each patty with a tablespoon of chopped celery.
Assuming you have set up shop for the evening and will not drive for the next eight hours, chase your burger with a shot of vodka for the complete experience!!!!
